Reception by our guide and transfer to the
hotel. Check-in and accommodation. At 2:00
PM, departure for a City Tour in São Luís,
where we will visit the main attractions such
as the Litoranea Avenue, Jansen Lagoon,
Espigão Costeiro, Gonçalves Dias Square,
Beira Mar Avenue, Dom Pedro II Square, the
Palace of the Lions, the Se Cathedral, Bendito
Leite Square, Giz Street, Reggae Museum,
Nauro Machado Square, Tulhas Market,
Portugal Street, and Grande Beach. Return to
the hotel. Evening at leisure.
São Luís/Santo Amaro (Maranhão
Desert) Starting at 6:40 AM, board an airconditioned vehicle bound for the village of
Sangue. The journey covers approximately
240 km, with an average duration of 2 hours
and 30 minutes. Upon arrival at the meeting
point, you’ll switch vehicles and continue to
the town of Santo Amaro. Check-in and
accommodation at the hostel. Departure by
4×4 boat to visit either Lagoa da Gaivota or
Lagoa da Andorinha, with the appreciation of
the typical landscape, walks through trails
amidst the dunes, lagoon swimming, and
sunset. Return to the accommodation and
overnight.
Santo Amaro (Maranhão Desert) After
breakfast, depart in a 4×4 vehicle for a trip to
the village of Betânia. During the journey,
you’ll visit other lagoons along the way,
including lagoons of unique beauty. Upon
arrival, you’ll swim in the lagoons.
Then, return to Betania for lunch (not included) and
free time to swim in the Alegre River, in front of the
restaurant. In the afternoon, you’ll visit other lagoons
amidst the dunes and eventually climb the highest
dune to admire the sunset in the desert. Return to the
hotel.
Santo Amaro/Barrerinhas Breakfast, checkout, and departure for Barrerinhas. Board an airconditioned vehicle headed for the city of Barrerinhas
(Gateway to Lençóis Maranhenses National Park).
Check-in and accommodation at the hotel. At 1:40
PM, depart in 4×4 vehicles for the Great Lençóis
circuit. Cross the Preguiças River on a ferry and then
follow a trail to the stopping point (about 40 minutes
of trail). Disembark and begin a light walk on the white
dunes, visiting the available lagoons with stops for
freshwater baths and enjoying the beautiful landscape
and sunset. Return to the vehicle via the same trail
and back to the hotel. Evening at leisure.
: Barrerinhas/São Luís At 4:00 AM,
departure for the “Breakfast in the Desert” tour.
Transfer from the hotel in a 4×4 to Lençóis
Maranhenses National Park with time to walk on
the dunes before sunrise. Then, have breakfast
prepared on one of the highest dunes in the
desert to witness the sunrise. Time for
contemplation and return to the hotel. Free
morning for optional excursions. At 4:00 PM,
departure for São Luís. Accommodation at the
hotel and evening at leisure.
São Luís Breakfast, check-out, and
transfer to the airport. End of the program.
